VACANCY: Voice Teacher

Are you passionate about music education? Do you have the skill and enthusiasm to inspire students to unlock their musical potential?
We’re seeking a dedicated and talented Voice Teacher to join our fantastic team and deliver engaging one-to-one tuition, small group lessons and lead vocal ensembles in schools across Kirklees.
This position will be hourly paid £29.12 per contact hour (plus teachers’ pension).
There are currently 8.5 hours of Voice teaching over 2 days per week, plus significant scope for expansion. The current work includes a variety of school settings where you would be required to teach every week (for 33 weeks per academic year during term time). In addition to this regular teaching, there will be further opportunities to work on projects with our talented vocal team and attend CPDL sessions, and additional time will be allocated for recruitment.
You will require an Enhanced DBS, and you will need to be able to transport yourself between different schools during each working day.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivering high-quality voice lessons to students of all ages and skill levels
- Plan effective lessons/rehearsals
- Inspire students to develop a love for music and a lifelong passion for singing
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in voice teaching to students of varying abilities
- Proficiency in music theory and vocal skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for working with children and adults
- Flexibility to travel to different schools within Kirklees
- Piano skills are desirable
