About Let's Sing!
Let's Sing! is a series of events to mark the Kirklees Year of Music. Listen out for the song 'Into the Light' sponsored by the National Lottery Community Fund and Musica Holme Valley. This uplifting song was written as part of a two-day song writing workshop involving students from All Saints Catholic College, Newsome Academy and Honley High with initial input from MHV percussionists and led by Henry Bateman. The song has been professionally produced and has been gifted to primary schools. The whole project will culminate in some 'Let's Sing!' events, happening this term in high schools and later this year at the Town Hall, bringing communities together to perform and make some shared musical memories.
