The first day of performances from Musica Holme Valley at the Holmfirth Festival of Folk 2024:

10am | Musica Holme Valley Recorder Ensemble, Senior Strings, Intermediate Wind Band, and the Isolation Trio

Performing a mixed selection of folk arrangements and favourite tunes. groups as well as a guest performance from the Isolation Trio, who formed during lockdown consisting of Dad, Stuart (guitar), Edward (violin) and Archie (cajon/perc) to play new and traditional folk tunes form the UK and around the world.

2.00pm | Musica Holme Valley Pop Choir and African Drummers

An intergenerational choir performing a short set including some traditional folk tunes and feel good songs followed by African Rhythms from our drummers combined with European creative techniques with an opportunity to join in.  Both groups led by Phil Needham.  Do join us to make some noise and have a laugh!

 

3pm | Musica Holme Valley Guitar Orchestra

The Holme Valley has a strong tradition of guitar playing.  This music centre group bring lots of guitarists together to rehearse and experience playing as an ensemble whilst learning some fun tunes!
