We were delighted to welcome ambassadors from National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) for a workshop for all our young jazz, swing and big band musicians on September 31 and October 1, 2017. The two-day workshop was a big hit and a huge source of inspiration.
This was closely followed by Marsden Jazz Festival 2017. Groups from Musica Holme Valley, Shelley, Mirfield, Colne Valley plus Musica Soul Band played in the Bandstand in the Park. It was a pleasure to once again be part of this very special festival.
There was a spectacular performance from Musica Youth Jazz (MYJ) and NYJO to round off the festival weekend in style.
A big thank you goes to all the musicians, teachers, organisers and supporters for making these performances such a success.
