We were delighted to once again be invited to be part of the Music for Youth National Festival 2017.
In March, groups from all over Kirklees but on superb performances at the Regional Festival, held at Colne Valley High School. Some performers were then asked to play in Birmingham as part of the National Festival.
The week-long celebration of music is held annually in July. This year, Musica Colne Valley Senior Wind Band and Ska Band played, as well as Musica Holme Valley Junior Strings and Musica Youth Strings (MYS). There was also a special collaboration between Musica Kirklees guitarists and musicians from Calderdale Music Trust.
Our young musicians got some fantastic feedback from the Music for Youth panel - it was an experience we'll never forget.
