Congratulations to all Music Kirklees performers who took to the stage at this year's Great North Big Band Jazz Festival in Sunderland on Sunday, March 5.
Representing Musica Kirklees were Mr Kingham with Musica Shelley Big Band and the Musica Youth Jazz Orchestra. There was also a performance from Greenhead College Big Band (led by Musica's Mr Dolling).
There were some amazing performances on the day and even some awards! Oli Rath (Greenhead Big Band and Musica Holme Valley) was awarded the best soloist in the schools category. Rebecca Reddiough and Christie Smith (Musica Youth Jazz) won the adjudicator's award and Musica Youth Jazz also won the trophy for the best programme.
