Auditions for Musica Youth Orchestra - join us!

Musica Youth Orchestra (MYO) will be holding auditions on Wednesday, June 14.  If you're a strings player grade 5 or above or a woodwind, brass or percussion player grade 7 or above, this is your opportunity to join an orchestra with an international reputation for excellence.

MYO has performed in prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall - and even at Disneyland Paris!

They enjoy being playing a varied repertoire and getting involved with innovative projects as well as performing regularly around Kirklees.  Recently, MYO has worked with Grammy Award nominee Beth Nielsen Chapman on 'The Mighty Sky' and played the score live at two screenings of the Battle of the Somme in collaboration with Somme100 FILM and the Imperial War Museums.

Each section of the orchestra is overseen by a specialist member of staff, with the strings section forming an orchestra in its own right - Musica Youth Strings (MYS).
