FREE Creative Minds Choir Launching April 2021

New FREE choir for young people age 11-18 living in Kirklees, Barnsley Calderdale and Wakefield who want to have fun and improve their wellbeing.  Open to all abilities with tuition from Musica Kirklees in partnership with Creative Minds,South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and support from BBC Children in Need

You don’t need any previous singing experience.

We’re offering:

• Singing, creative activities, confidence building exercises and guest musicians
• An introduction pack to help you
• The chance for you to channel your energy and learn to care for yourself through singing

What are the benefits?

• Make new friends
• Singing is proven to improve self-esteem, reduce depression and stress
• Joining a group with others who have shared experiences has proven health benefits
• These groups are delivered by Creative Minds, an awarding-winning NHS charity using professional singing tutors from Musica Kirklees and support 

Dates and times:

Thursdays 4.45-6pm (term time from April 15th 2021
(Using Zoom for now. Group based at Batley Grammar School when restrictions allow.)

Fridays 4.45-6pm (term time only from April 16th 2021
(Using Zoom for now. Group based at Colne Valley high school when restrictions allow.)
