Songbirds at Musica Holme Valley are holding FREE musical fun for toddlers to age 7, led by professional musician and educational specialist Debbie Hemingway.  They'll be using pulse and rhythm to introduce your mini maestro to the magical world of music.

Bring your little one along on Saturday, July 8, 10.00-11.30am to Musica Holme Valley, Holmfirth High School, Heys Road, Thongsbridge, HD9 7SE and find out what it's all about!

If you enjoy the session, you can become a member of Songbirds and attend weekly 30minute sessions (during term-time) every Saturday for only £38 per term.

About Songbirds.....

Songbirds music classes are both fun and educational.  Children learn about pulse, rhythm, pitch and other important aspects of music.  Learning is brought about through singing, rhymes and games.

Classes are taught using the Kodály Method which develops Inner Hearing (the ability to imagine sound).  This improves children's ability to pitch notes correctly. Children will also develop a feeling for pulse and rhythm that will give them an excellent grounding in musicianship.  The lessons will form the basis for a lifelong journey towards musical literacy.

All classes are led by Debbie Hemingway, who is a qualified teacher and a classically trained musician. She teaches music at a Huddersfield primary school, sings with Huddersfield Choral Society and has gained a Certificate of Professional Practice for the Kodály method of music education from the British Kodály Academy.

Classes are held at on Saturdays during term-time at Musica Holme Valley, Holmfirth High School, Heys Road, Thongsbridge, HD9 7SE.
