Invitations from Music for Youth - Birmingham here we come!

Over the past few terms many of our centres, ensembles and schools have been working really hard towards Music for Youth events in our area.  In January they took part in Showtime! at Dewsbury Town Hall, and in March they were in action again at the Music for Youth Regional Festival.

All performers got excellent feedback from the Music for Youth team, and we're delighted to announce that seven groups have been invited to play in Birmingham at the National Festival: Musica Colne Valley Senior Wind Band, Musica Holme Valley Junior Strings, Musica Colne Valley Big Ska Band, Musica Youth Jazz, Musica Youth Strings and Musica Holme Valley Guitars (joint ensemble with Calderdale Music Trust).

The four day festival sees young singers and instrumentalists from across the UK come together for a celebration of musical talent and we are pleased to be representing Kirklees at this special event.
