Two World Premieres in One Day

As part of the first every 'Our Biennale' arts and culture festival, Musica Kirklees pupils performed two world premieres of pieces composed especially for the finale on November 20 at Huddersfield Town Hall.

Musica Batley Guitar Ensemble, Musica Colne Valley Senior Guitars, Musica Holme Valley Intermediate and Senior Guitars, Musica Mirfield Intermediate Guitars and Musica Youth Orchestra were on stage with internationally acclaimed guitarist Craig Ogden to perform 'Untroubled Light' by Eleanor Cully and 'Melt' by Calum Dewar.

The Festival was put together by EvoKe (Kirklees Cultural Education Partnership) and supported by Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and Musica Kirklees.
